Best Breakfast Sandwiches In Sacramento

Tired of the same old breakfast and looking for something new, perhaps even a little healthier? Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day and most people skip it or head to the drive-thru line for a quick breakfast sandwich on the way to work. Consider forgoing your usual ritual and trying a new, perhaps more gourmet breakfast sandwich option. Here are five of the best breakfast sandwiches available in the greater Sacramento area next time you are in the mood to try something new.
Roxie Deli
3340 C St.
Sacramento, CA 95816
(916) 443-5402
www.roxiedeli.com

Stop by Roxie Deli in East Sacramento for some of the best breakfast sandwiches in town. Roxie Deli is at the former Priceless Market, a longtime neighborhood establishment. When owners Chris and Amy Tannous took it over in 2004, they changed it to Roxie Deli and Grocery. The Tannous family is no stranger to the deli world. Chris' father and family opened the first Roxie Deli back in the 1970s in San Francisco. Tannous' love for the art of deli sandwiches is evident in the East Sacramento operation. Breakfast sandwich options include ham and cheddar, ham and bacon, sausage, meatball and a veggie. All sandwiches are served with onion, tomato, mayo and a nice kick of hot sauce.

Old Soul Co.
1716 L St. (Rear Alley)
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916) 443-7685
www.oldsoulco.com

Old Soul Co. has several locations around the Sacramento area and is more than just your average coffee shop. Old Soul offers ethically sourced coffees. The Midtown location is located in a loft-like space in the alley connecting 17th and 18th between L Street and Capitol Avenue. Along with your cup of joe, be sure to try the bacon breakfast sandwich -- this large sandwich is served with tomato, onion and avocado on an English muffin. And, if you are traveling, there is even an Old Soul Co. at the Sacramento Airport, Terminal B.

De Vere's Irish Pub
1521 L St. 95814
Sacramento, CA
(916) 231-9947
www.deverespub.com

De Vere's makes the best of list for drinks and food in many round-ups. Not surprisingly, it also has a killer breakfast sandwich option that is worth stopping in for. The breakfast burger is a French-toasted burger bun surrounding a breakfast sausage patty, Irish bacon, over-hard egg and Tillamook sharp cheddar, and is served with breakfast potatoes. If you aren't driving and heading into work after breakfast, be sure to try one of the famous Irish coffees. It is made with Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey, coffee and fresh whipped cream -- definitely a great morning pick-me-up.Related: Best Indian Food In Sacramento
