This gallery, located in the historic Oak Park area, is led by Sacramentans dedicated to the development of art in the community. On the second Saturday of each month, midtown Sacramento is transformed into a combination street fair and art festival, full of many kinds of live music, dancing, performance art, vendors, food, wine, fashion and more. Galleries, shops and booths showcase the work of area artists, with eclectic selections including paintings, sculpture, watercolors, metalwork, jewelry, ceramics, fiber arts and a multitude of mixed-media pieces. Many shops, bars and restaurants have 2nd Saturday deals, and special events are included each month, so no visit is ever the same. Stroll through the streets with a date and enjoy the fun, creative vibe of the art walk.

More than 30 artists from the local area take part in this long-running collective in Old Sacramento. You and your date are sure to enjoy the diverse collection, which includes paintings, photographs, jewelry, ceramics, textiles, basketry and more. Cathy Cederlind has exhibited her creative beaded and embroidered jewelry at the gallery, and visitors always appreciate Deidre Daugherty's bronze sculptures and the amazing woodwork creations of Martin Westcott. Allow some time for you both to check out the gallery; there is a lot of exceptional work being shown and many of the pieces are one of a kind.

This large complex features the work of over 20 creative artisans, including several artists-in-residence. The building has three separate art spaces, including the elegant main gallery that is filled with a wide and eclectic selection of works. There is also a second-story loft gallery. It often exhibits two- or three-dimensional pieces like collages and mixed-media creations by Robert Ray. The relaxed outdoor sculpture garden showcases art that is meant to survive and thrive outside. Past shows at the complex have included the photography of Mary Bates, as well as her hand-drawn, mandala-esque pieces. Rich Yang's fine art oils are fascinating for art lovers to peruse, as are surreal and evocative art photographs created by Bob Dreizler.
