Date: July 4, 2014Located inside of the Carmichael Park Clubhouse will be the pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 am. The breakfast is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael and is a great way to fill your belly before the annual parade. This year's parade starts at 10:30 a.m. and will include local floats, antique cars, military units and much more. The parade goes from Marconi and Fair Oaks to Cypress and Manzanita. The pre-fireworks show starts at 7 p.m. with food, music, arts and crafts with the actual fireworks starting at around 9:30 p.m. once it gets dark. The celebration is put on by the Carmichael Recreation and Park District & Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District.
Date: July 4, 2014This year's Salute To The Red, White And Blue marks the 18th annual 4th of July celebration for the city of Elk Grove. Admission to the event is free but parking is $10. Like the Carmichael event, this one also offers a pancake breakfast. There will be a car show with custom cars and motorcycles on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an awards ceremony taking place at 4 p.m. Entertainment this year comes in the form of two bands starting at 4:30 p.m. Rachel Steele & Road 88 will perform country music and Joy and Madness will play to the funk and soul crowd. Both bands won SAMMIES in 2013. Capping off the evening will be the fireworks show which should be starting right around 9:30 p.m.
A Sacramento tradition for many locals is the fireworks show at Cal Expo. Cal Expo offers the largest fireworks display every year. Parking for the event is $10 but admission is free of charge. As always, food and beverage will be sold at the event. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the fireworks start promptly at 9:30 p.m. with music provided by 98.5 FM. This is where you go to celebrate the 4th of July if you live in or anywhere near Davis. Community Park in Davis throws together a yearly 4th of July event that brings the neighbors together beginning at 4:30 p.m. You can experience some of the very best Davis has to offer via local vendor booths and food offerings. There will be championship softball games at the park beginning at 6:30 p.m. as well as live entertainment. The fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m. While this is a free event, organizers accept donations to help support the cost of the fireworks show.

Raley Field will be hosting 4th of July fireworks for the second year. The Fourth on the Field event at Raley Field is from 6-10 p.m. Raley Field will be having food trucks on the field culminating with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. that will be visible from Front Street in Old Sacramento.
