Best Halloween Parties Around Sacramento

Halloween is that time of year when people get to dress as whatever they want and let their imaginations soar. The kids eat too much candy and dentist bills skyrocket. But there's no reason that only the kids get to have fun. Most important is the fact there are some incredible parties in Sacramento and its surrounding areas. The following five events will no doubt be the best places to find yourself during the last week in October. If you plan properly, you can attend more than one.

Price: $40 per person and $70 per coupleThe Howler's Ball will be held at the Roseville Sports Complex on October 27 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is a dog-friendly event where dogs are admitted free of charge and the venue will provide pooch treats. Music will be performed by the band Mad Dash. Local eateries will supply beer, food and wine and there will also be some giveaways, a raffle and a costume contest. If you've been looking for a party but don't want to leave Fido home alone, this one is for you.

Radio station Now 100.5 has put on this party for many years, formerly known as the Exotic Zone Ball. This event always delivers a night of debaucherous behavior. As with every year, there will be music, dancing and drinks. Special fetishes are always set up where people are encouraged to explore their wild sides. The Exotic Halloween Ball promises to be the place where the grown ups celebrate Halloween. The party starts at 8:30 p.m. on October 27.

Shannon McCabe shares her amazing vision and flair for throwing themed parties at the Vampire Ball. The festivities begin at 8 p.m. and go until 2 a.m. on October 27. If you are a fan of Anne Rice and the "Interview With The Vampire" movies, you are in for a special night. Shannon has 11,000 square feet to play with and transform into a graveyard, plantation house, garden and more. The ball will have a courtyard with a beer garden and dancing throughout the venue. You will also come across professional actors and dancers adding to the night's authenticity. Carnival food and drinks will be found at the venue as well. Never before have the Placer County Fairgrounds gone through such a metamorphosis.

The Torch Club is one of Sacramento's coolest dive bars known not only for its cheap yet strong drinks but for its shows as well. This year on October 27, The Torch Club will be welcoming The Coalition. This party starts at 9 p.m. and will likely go until last call. The Coalition is a local Sacramento band formed in 2007 which has amassed quite a following. Costumes are optional but always fun.

The Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Center is throwing a bash to benefit its cause at the Odd Fellows Hall in Davis this year. On October 26, this community-driven party will go from 7 p.m. until midnight. Food will be catered by Jen and Gary Sleppy of The Shack and cocktails will be served as well. There will also be a silent auction and costume contest. One of the auction items is "a private flight and lunch over Half Moon Bay." This party will deliver tons of fun with proceeds going towards a worthy charity.
