Best Lunch Spots Near Sacramento's Jury Duty

You've been called for jury duty. Your dream of being let off the list by lunch hasn't quite worked out. The judge just called for the lunch recess. What now? This downtown lunch favorite, owned by Hemayat Sawez, is within easy walking distance of the courthouse. Daily buffet starts at 11 a.m. and is perfect for a tasteful and delicious lunch. Vegetarian dishes are well represented on the menu. If you've never had Afghan cuisine, this is the place to go to. You'll leave with a smile on your face, your wallet will thank you and you will be able to face the afternoon sitting in the jury pool.

This place really did used to be a garage. It's a fantastic spot with a lot of good eclectic art and vibe. Lunch here is always a good bet and the coffee drinks are superb. The prices are reasonable, service is pretty quick and delicious is the only way to describe what arrives on your plate. The menu is wide ranging and will satisfy just about all foodie needs. Walking here is the smart thing to do, and it's easily done from the courthouse.

Want to sit comfortably, enjoy great service and pretend you aren't on jury duty? Head over the Hyatt's Vines Cafe. A great buffet is a fine way to get your food quickly. Order off the menu too, which is seasonal and very good. Soups made on site are particularly good. Walking here is possible, you'll just need to hustle a bit. The Esquire is a Sacramento legend, part of Randy Paragary's stable of restaurants. Very well prepared food, knowledgeable servers and a fine ambiance make this a favorite spot in downtown. It's best if you check out the lunch menu before you go, as it is extensive and simply making a choice could take some time. This place is always good. Who knows, you just may meet the judge here too.

Chita's has a great lunch menu that's easy on your wallet and up to the task of making your taste buds happy. Hurry on your way as it can be crowded at this popular little spot. If you'd like good, plentiful Mexican food to keep yourself fueled for the afternoon at the court, you'll be glad you came here. Vegetarians will be happy with the menu. The quality and quantity are superb. Keep an eye on your watch though.
