Sacramento offers an abundance of talented artists who create stunning artwork out of glass, including stained glass, vases, jewelry and wall and ceiling pieces. Local artists also share their knowledge and experience through a variety of classes and private instructions. Artist Patrick Mullen, owner and operator of Fire River Art Glass Studio, has been creating exceptional glass art for over 20 years. Mullen's work can be seen at galleries in Davis and El Dorado Hills. However, if you want to try your hand at the trade, Fire River offers beginning and intermediate classes in glassblowing for all of those looking to get a closer look at this process. Space is limited and a non-refundable deposit is required for all classes. Private instruction is also available for those who require a bit more attention. The Fire River studio is available for rental and it includes annealer and basic tools.
