Best Shopping Neighborhoods In Sacramento

It's no secret that one of the best draws of any area is its accessibility to a variety of shopping, and Sacramento is no exception. From quaint mom and pop boutiques to mega-malls, you'll find it here. The downtown area is home to many notable shops and stores – both local and chains - while the Arden Arcade area is rich in malls and a diverse selection of stores large and small. Downtown Sacramento is home to many types of shopping experiences, from pedestrian malls and historic Old Sacramento to locally owned shops. Near the California State Capitol and the Sacramento Convention Center Complex, getting to Downtown Sacramento is easy thanks to a wide variety of public transit. Located in downtown is the notable Westfield Downtown Plaza. Formerly known simply as Downtown Plaza, the open-air section is closed to automobile traffic and the main mall includes shops such as Macy's, American Eagle and GAP. Downtown is also home to a plethora of shops such as The Bead Fetish, Moonfairies Shop (specializing in gently used children's items) and The Book Collector.

Arden Arcade Area

The Arden Arcade area of Sacramento is teeming with shopping opportunities. It includes Town & Country Village, as well as Country Club Plaza Mall, both renowned for delighting shoppers of all types. Town & Country Village combines outdoor walkways and open-air shopping with indoor shopping they call "easy in, easy out." Found at the corner of Fulton and Marconi streets, this shopping area appeals to those looking for that unique gift and includes a wide range of specialty shops, including Starbucks, Bella Donna Bridal and Adam's Jewelers. Country Club Plaza Mall is anchored by Macy's and offers more of the traditional chain department store experience. Easily located near I-80, Country Club Plaza is 600,000 square feet of shopping heaven. If you're looking for a one-stop-shop kind of experience, Country Club Plaza Mall is for you. Stores include The Sport Chalet, Ross Dress for Less, and Payless Shoe Source.
