The Community Center Theater plays host on one special evening to the incomparable Bill Cosby. Few others have impacted the world of entertainment as completely as Cosby, who has won multiple Emmys and Grammy awards during his nearly 50-year career. The talented actor, comic, producer and best-selling author's most beloved projects include his years playing Dr. Cliff Huxtable in "The Cosby Show" and his groundbreaking tenure on "I Spy." Cosby is also known for his thought-provoking discourse on societal issues. The 76-year-old performer will be starring in a new situation comedy beginning later in 2014.

Jeff Dunham is an hilarious stand-up comic and wildly popular ventriloquist; the latter being especially impressive given that most comparable effects are now made on computers. Dunham performs on stage with a host of self-created sidekicks, including the notorious Achmed the Dead Terrorist, grumpy senior citizen Walter and spicy José Jalapeño. One of Dunham's most beloved characters is hyperactive Peanut, who often brings on stage his own ventriloquist dummy modeled after and named for the comedian himself. Dunham wrote a New York Times bestselling autobiography, has performed in numerous televised comedy specials and even had his own television series that aired on Comedy Central.

Englishman Jim Jeffries has performed stand-up comedy all over the world, including as a headliner at festivals like The South African Comedy Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe. His acclaimed performances, intended for adult audiences like his other work, have included "I Swear to God," "Heaven and Earth," "The History of Offensive Humor and "Alcoholocaust."

The multi-talented Poundstone has starred in numerous live and televised comic concerts, won an Emmy for her own HBO series and has been a humorous correspondent at awards shows and for a presidential race. Poundstone is known for engaging audience members and for creating spontaneous and uproarious responses to those interactions. She regularly participates in NPR's hilarious radio news quiz, "Wait, Wait… Don't Tell Me," which airs weekly in Sacramento on KXJZ, Capital Public Radio.

Lady Business in the only improvisational comedy troupe in Sacramento that is made up entirely of women. Most of the monthly shows have a theme, and the comics and audience share stories that are somehow related to that theme. The improv takes off from there, with sidesplitting, intelligent riffs and witty repartee inspired by the tales that are shared. The nine-member troupe includes Bailey Kallas, Tiffany Shultz, Mignon Foster and Christiana Dominguez.
