THE DEFENSE

Q: What are you doing at Squeeze Inn today?

A: Eating hamburgers! It was excellent.

Q: Sounds yummy. I love their burgers. This truck is awesome. Have you had it long? What's its main use?

A: I just bought it. I went to the car lot and said, "I will own that one," and they said, "OK, give me all of your money and we'll bill you for the next couple years." I spend about one hour a day in it, getting to and from work.

Q: What's the worst part about that commute?

A: The construction they're doing on Highway 50 right now.

Q: They're doing construction?

A: Yeah, and it's only in-between my exit and the exit I get off on!

Q: I see. Do you have a favorite day trip when you're not working and stuck in traffic?

A: We like to go to Monterey Bay Aquarium. That's our favorite place to go.

Q: How many times have you gone there?

A: I've gone there three times. I try to go once a year. You always get there really fast, but it takes forever to get home.

Q: What's the furthest place you've driven to in this truck?

A: L.A. and San Diego—no, I apologize! I took my truck to Phoenix. I drove to Phoenix. That's 13 hours. I went to WrestleMania. I went to one wrestling show, got in my car, and drove home. I drove 26 hours to see a four-hour show.

Q: Wow, that's dedication! Do you have any rules in your truck?

A: They're all out the window. It's all systems go. Once you have kids, there are no more rules.

Q: What's your favorite driving music?

A: I like to listen to country music.

Q: If your car had a country music theme song, what would it be?

A: "Eastbound and Down" from Smokey and the Bandit.

Q: That sounds fun. And if your truck had a human emotion, what would it be?

A: I think it's pretty happy! Yeah, it doesn't break down, so I don't yell at it, so it's pretty happy.

Q: Is there anything else we should know about your truck?

A: That I should clean underneath the backseat where the kids are more often because there are French fries and everything back there. The rule is, as long as it's under the seat, I don't see it.
