Mother Charged With Her Infant's Death
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A mother is behind bars tonight, charged with the murder of her 11-month-old baby.
Raziah Bates was brought in to see a doctor on Christmas Eve. That's when medical staff noticed evidence of abuse. The girl died the next day.
Bianca Armstead, the girl's 19-year-old mother, is at the San Joaquin County Jail charged with not only murder, but also child abuse and torture.
The judge has denied bail in this case.
Two other children who had been living in home with Armstead are now in CPS custody.
