Gas Spills Into Rancho Cordova Storm Drain After Crash
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) – A car accident turned into a hazardous materials situation in Rancho Cordova when gas began spilling into a storm drain, according to Sacramento Metro Fire.
The accident happened at International Drive and Zinfandel Drive. Two cars collided and one of them caught fire.
Fire fighters began to extinguish the blaze but stopped when they realized fuel was leaking into the drain. They let the fire burn itself out.
The intersection was closed off to traffic while crews cleaned up.
No injuries were reported.
