Cat Rescued In High-Flying Style After Being Stuck In Tree For 8 Days
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A lucky cat was rescued in high style this morning after eight days stuck 30-feet up in a tree and it all played out on live television.
A Good Day Sacramento viewer called to tell us about the cat that had been stuck a tree behind a home in the 1000 block of Arcade Boulevard.
The fluffy gray cat was perched high on a branch of the leafless tree looking calm but tired.
After Good Day Sacramento's Mark S. Allen asked if there was a tree service in town that could help out, the folks from Fallen Leaf Tree Service came out.
Using a rope, one of the workers climbed up the tree and was able to get close enough to grab the kitty and put it in a bag. He then repelled down to the ground with the cat in tow.
The cat, which was obviously used to being around people, was taken to the Sacramento City Animal Shelter.
