Election Letter On School Letterhead Draws Controversy

DAVIS (CBS13) -  Did a Davis school district break the law by using tax dollars for political purposes?

Some voters have voiced concerns about a letter mailed out by the Davis Unified School District about Measure A.

Measure A is a parcel tax that would benefit schools.

The superintendent of Davis Unified School District defends the letter saying it was simply informative, not political.

He says the letter only went out to seniors, because they would be exempt from the tax if it passes.
