Modesto Police Searching For Armed Bank Robber
MODESTO (CBS13) – Modesto police are looking for an armed man who robbed a bank this morning before fleeing, first by bike and then in a truck.
Police say the man robbed the Farmers & Merchant Bank at 1700 McHenry Avenue just after 10:00 this morning. He entered the back, flashed a gun and demanded money.
Witnesses say he then left on a bike riding through the McHenry Village Shopping Center. Investigators then think he abandoned the bike and left the shopping center driving a dark colored truck, possibly a Ford F150 with a lumber rack.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 5'-11", with a beard, wearing a green baseball hat, sunglasses, and a blue sweater.
