STOCKTON (CBS13) – A 20-year-old woman is under arrest for shoplifting and using pepper spray on three store employees who confronted her, according to police.

Stockton Police officers arrested Tanisha Mayberry just before 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the Lakeview District of Stockton.

Police say she used pepper spray on three employees of a store in the 7500 block of Pacific Avenue when they tried to stop her leaving the store with items they say she was trying to steal.

After spraying the employees, Mayberry ran away but was later caught by police.  She is facing two felony counts of using tear gas and robbery.  She is being held on $125,000 bail.
