"I don't have time to do that with two kids," said Debbie.

But a commercial caught her attention: The Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner. All you do is press a button after you take your shower and the commercial claims to do the rest. She says it would be a lifesaver, if it actually works.

"Give me some more time with my kids instead of scrubbing my shower," said Debbie.

It comes with batteries, cleaning fluid good for about five weeks, and the sprayer. We crack open the box, hang it in the shower. The beep gives you time to hop out before the spraying begins.

"There it goes, spraying the shower," said Debbie.

And we leave them to let the experiment begin, and with a home video camera they document their cleaning. Sixteen days later we return and she's not too happy.

Kurtis: How did it go?

Debbie: Not so well. It looks dirtier than it was before.

Not only did it not get cleaner but there's more mold and mildew in the shower.

"Initially we just had it right here, and then its happening along here where it hasn't been before," said Debbie, "I got frustrated at day four and almost scrubbed my shower."

Her advice? "Don't waste your $20, it's not worth it," said Debbie.

She's back to managing her time, between a couple of cute kids and scrubbing.

The automatic shower cleaner costs about $20. It leaves your bathroom smelling good, but it definitely didn't cut through the grime as promised.
