Buy it & Try it: RoboStir

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) --  Everything is fresh at Dad's Kitchen, a restaurant known for its Mac and Cheese and named the best place for a public breakup.

"We've definitely seen enough that would validate a reward," said owner Christine Collins.

When you run a restaurant, you spend a lot of time stirring. If you walk away for too long, your food will start to burn.

The RoboStir claims it automatically stirs so you don't have to. The secret is the silicone feet with orbital turning action to make sure no spot goes unstirred. Powered by four batteries it has three speeds and vibrates.

Christine first tries it in a pot of clam chowder on the lowest speed, but it seems to get stuck. She kicks it up to the middle then highest speed, but it seems to stay in the same area of the pot, instead of covering every inch like it claims.

She has the same results when trying it on a thinner marinara sauce and on Mac and Cheese, which in each case caused some of the sauce in the unstirred area to burn.

After her tests, Christine doesn't think the RoboStir lives up to it claim.

"I feel so bad saying this. It's not worth the money," she said.

I paid $11.75 and bought it online.
