Audio: The Grant Napear Show - August 2, 2011

Grant starts the show with an interview from Solomon Wilcotts of the NFL Network. Solomon discusses the moves made by 49ers and Raiders in free agency and what to expect from them this season. Next, tight end Zach Miller, who has just signed with the Seattle Seahawks, joins the show for his first public comments since leaving the Raiders. Zach thanks Raider fans for supporting him since Oakland drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2007 draft. He also explained how former head coach Tom Cable played a big part in the decision to play in Seattle.

Next, Grant takes calls from frustrated Niner and Raider fans about the lack of movement in free agency from both teams. After that, Scott Reiss from CSN Bay Area comes on the show to preview the SF Giants vs Diamondbacks game tonight, the Giants four game losing streak and Barry Zito being put on the DL today.

In the third hour, Grant does his rant on fans that evaluate players by watching players practice in training camp and think that a good or bad practice will lead to a good or bad season. After the rant, hall of fame quarterback Warren Moon goes on the show to talk about Seattle's free agent signings and coach Pete Carroll making a splash by adding notable players to the roster. To finish the last hour, Grant takes call from listeners and responds to the text line.
