Water Park Partially Reopened One Day After Chlorine Leak

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13) - Raging Waters at Cal Expo is partially back open today after a chlorine leak sent 20 people to the hospital on Monday.

The leak happened at the water park's wave pool which will remain closed during an investigation.

Raging Waters officials released a statement today about the leak saying "Raging Waters Sacramento deeply regrets yesterday's occurrence. Guest safety is always our top priority. The Wave Pool will continue to remain closed today. While there is no current hazard, Water Park Management and DOSH continue to investigate the cause of yesterday's mechanical malfunction. Once the cause is determined and its repair is ensured, the pool will reopen."

A broken water pump is being blamed for the problem.

People who were evacuated from the park will be given a free pass to come back to the water park on the day of their choice.
