Man Found Shot To Death On South Sacramento Street

SOUTH SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13) – Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a man found dead in a south Sacramento gutter early Friday morning.

Firefighters were called to 37th Avenue and 44th Street at 1:00 a.m. for reports of a man found lying face down in the street.

When crews arrived, they found a man in his late teens or early 20s shot in the upper back. The victim's name will be released after his family is notified.

Sheriff's deputies questioned neighbors but they say they only heard the shot, but didn't see the shooter.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
