PATTERSON (CBS13) – Three special needs students received minor injuries in a school bus crash Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The California Highway Patrol said a silver pickup truck ran a red light at an intersection on Baldwin Road, colliding with a school bus.

The bus crashed into a light pole and came to a rest on the sidewalk. The three students inside the bus suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Authorities say the driver of the truck was reaching for his wallet and ran the red light while he was distracted.

reach for your wallet when you are already stopped! This guy is going to get extra charges against him because a school bus with kids on it was involved

He was reaching for his wallet? Why wasn’t it in his back pocket? Sounds to me like he was on his telephone, but put the blame on his wallet. Watch out the wallet will get you for that. Karma you know…

I feel bad for the Anchor Children involved. Well at least they will have a great income soon. ( Aside Welfare, housing, cash grants, etc)

Kelly657 you should be ashamed of yourself for posting such a hateful thing about special needs children. You think their life is easy since they have a disability and that they are treated normally. Just consider what you said and your attitude towards them. It’s appalling that you would insult children. The rest of their lives will be met with people like you and that is a sad statement on our civilization.
