SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A former Elk Grove girls soccer coach was sentenced Thursday to four years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to four felony charges for having sex with one of his players, Sacramento County District Attorney Jan Scully announced.
Arthur Temblador, 36, was a coach for the Everton Soccer Club in Elk Grove. From the summer of 2010 throught the spring of 2011, Temblador had sexually encounters with one of his players. The victim was between the ages of 15-16 at the time. The sexual misconduct occurred in four different counties, Scully said.
Temblador will be required to register as a sex offender for life. He was arrested in March when officers said they spotted a vehicle in the parking lot of a closed medical building in the 8100 block of Timberlake Way. They said they found Temblador and the girl in the car.
