SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — As the Occupy Sacramento movement settles in for another night inside Cesar Chavez Park, another group sits, watches and wonders if they’ll ever get what they call “their park” back.

“These homeless people have been out here alot longer than you have,” one homeless person tells CBS13.

For years this plaza in the heart of Sacramento has been a homeless hide-away. But some just want the Occupy group to go away:

“I just wish they’d give us our park back,” one homeless woman says.

She’s one of dozens of homeless who’ve signed a petition:

Part of the problem, some homeless argue, they feel they’ve lost their freedom.

“They got their own security, they act like the police,” one man tells Lopez. “Anytime you do anything they say you can’t do this and that … and we’re saying ‘you’re not the police.'”

But the allegations of harassment go both ways.

“She on numerous occasions came to me with violent threats like “I’m going to get you,’ just terrible things,” one Occupy organizer says.

The Occupy leader felt so threatened by a homeless woman, she thought about getting a restraining order.

While she worries about her loss of security, those who used to call this park home worry about how long this group will stay.

“They say they’re gonna stay until Wall Street goes down,” one homeless woman says. “I don’t see Wall Street going down. Wall Street is too big.”

And this park may be too small for some.

“An intelligent plan is the first step to success. The man who plans knows where he is going, knows what progress he is making and has a pretty good idea when he will arrive.”

You cannot gain anything without specific goals. Like setting term limits, Ending the ability for congress to give itself a raise when it sees fit, ending lobbyists massive influence, or ending the special massive lifetime pay/retirement/healthcare of those in power. If you actually were protesting for these causes or any real cause you would gain respect and followers….hell you might even accomplish something. However, simply stating you are tired of Greed and Corruption will not accomplish anything. Your Cause needs Definable and Attainable Goals. Without them YOU WILL FAIL.
A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.
      -Martin Luther King, Jr.

You must find a Leader or at least a group of people who Lead your Movement Democratically. Otherwise your group has no Voice for people to hear. A large group of people shouting different things is harder to understand then a single person talking backed by a group of like minded people. The leader doesn’t have to make the plans/goals but he must be someone respectable enough to show the plans/goals.

“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.”
      -Albert Einstein

Once you have a Leader and Goals you have to use Their system to beat them. Get the public’s respect and get people to vote with you. As a Nation we are all tired of the way Congress acts and its Hyper-partisan ways. So get people elected that wont add to that.

      And remember
All progress is precarious, and the solution of one problem brings us face to face with another problem.

  2. Malik King says:

On March 9, 2011 in Santa Ana, several Police brutally ordered a K-9 to attack an unarmed, California Registered (RN) and Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). The California Highway Patrol in Orange County then attempted to cover up the incident.

Malik King, a reportedly “LVN since the age of nineteen” and California Registered Nurse since twenty three years of age, is said to have initially attempted to steal a car. Later it was found he was the owner of that Mercedes. What ensued next on the part of several officers goes well beyond the bounds of simply trying to subdue their suspect.

The several police officers ordered a police K-9 to attack him while he was still fastened in his seat-belt, tasered multiple times while the K-9 attack continued for over one minute and thirty seconds, then hand cuffed, slammed to the ground, hog tied, beat and kicked in the head until unconscious. He was then taken to jail, accused of multiple felonies, and had to pay $50,000 for bail.

Despite witnesses and the clear brutality of the beating, tasering, and ordered dog attack, California Highway patrol allowed several officers to remain active and attempted a cover-up.

Violations of federal law occur when it can be shown that the force used was willfully “unreasonable” or “excessive”. By signing this petition you agree that “unreasonable” or “excessive force” was used on Malik A. King on March 9, 2011 in California Orange County.

The beating of Mr. King is sickening and disturbing. The police involved in the beating and cover up must be brought to justice. Tell Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas to thoroughly investigate and prosecute the officers involved in the brutality of Malik A. King,LVN,RN.
