Old Sacramento's Christmas Tree Delivered From Mt. Shasta

OLD SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Old Sacramento's Christmas tree is in place and ready for the holiday season.

Crews were busy this morning getting the 60 foot white fir off the truck that carried it from the Mount Shasta area.

Businesses in Old Sacramento count on the Holiday season to keep them alive.

They're hoping the Christmas events will bring out just as many people as last year.

"Everyone's looking for the holidays and looking for a place to a shop. Old Sacramento is kind of a great thing because every one of our businesses is locally owned. So you get to shop and spend money and leave it here in our community," said Old Sacramento Business District Manager Chris McSwain.

The price of the tree was just over $10,000.

Mayor Johnson will assist in the tree lighting ceremony on November 23rd.
