The Don Geronimo Show - November 17, 2011

Today, the AC is still busted, and it is a sweltering 80 degrees in the studio, which is giving Don the sweats. Dave goes into his office and gets a large industrial fan to cool off the room, but now there's a humming noise in the background that's being picked up by the microphones. Dave and Phantom have a little fun putting baseball and hockey cards in the fan to see what noises they can get, and then Little Joe goes on the roof to reset the big AC machine. The guys, being pro's (look it up), push through, and Don tells us his "taking a leak" stories from his days at WAVA. Don then reads an email from our good buddy Steve Bryant, who tells his turducken story from his time at QVC.

The AC maintenance guy finally shows up to fix everything, and the listeners text in that he sounds oddly similar to Craig. Don also gets a few Facebook posts from the maintenance guy's girlfriend that he reads on the air. After playing a few awful Regis parody clips from the show prep site we subscribe to, Don plays clips from last night's South Park, in which they've already started making Penn St. jokes. Little Joe brings in a second fan to cool off the room, and Don plays a few clips from the legendary "Heidi Game," as today is the 43rd anniversary of the Raiders/Jets battle.

It's then time to play another edition of "Match Game." This time around, Slow Joe Ardinger draws pictures to go with his answers, which the guys find hilarious. Don even posts the pics on Twitter and Facebook. It is then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Among the stories today: Today is the 2 month anniversary of Occupy Wall St., the "Great American Smokeout," and hybrid cars are safer than conventional cars. The guys also get into a lengthy discussion about fake retweets. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
