Pedestrian Killed By Semi Truck On Interstate 5

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A man died after being hit by a semi truck on Interstate 5 near Interstate 80 in Sacramento this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol

Several lanes of Interstate 5 were closed until noon as CHP officers investigated the fatal accident that was first report around 7:50 a.m.

According to the CHP, a man was walking in or near the slow lane of northbound I-5 when he was hit by the truck.  It's unclear why the man was walking in the traffic lane.

The victim's name has not been released.
