The Don Geronimo Show - November 28, 2011

Today on The Don Geronimo Show, Don and the guys have returned from their Thanksgiving break, and Don tells us all about his trip, including the annoying people on his flight to Chicago, the gooey tar mess he had to drive through on the Pennsylvania turnpike, the Canadians who came down to Pittsburgh for Black Friday, and his brother in-law Dan, who has taken over as the slowest driver Don's ever known. Don also tells us that his "Countdown to Christmas" sign in his front yard is about 7 hours off, and he's constantly being reminded of it by his neighbors.

The NBA has lifted the lockout, and that's a good thing for Sacramento, and the arena issue. Don and the guys talk about how excited they are about the Kings playing basketball again. Don then talks about the Tom Couzens column in last week's Sacramento Bee, in which he once again goes out of his way to rip Don, only to have it backfire on him with his latest poll, in which the people of Sacramento overwhelmingly voted for 1140 The Fan as their favorite morning radio station. Don not only rips Tom a new one, but unveils his latest installment of "Kissing Couzens." We also learn that Tom only has 18 Twitter followers. Pathetic.

After Don talks about how awful Live With Kelly is now that Regis has left, the guys get into a discussion of all the Black Friday madness that occurred last week, including a woman pepper spraying customers to get an XBOX, a 54 year old man getting knocked out by police for "shoplifting," and a Target employee who was so exhausted she drove into a canal on the way home. Don calls the Target in Wellington, Florida, where this woman works, to see how she's doing. Don and Dave then talk about Donte Greene's poker tournament they played in, and the Goon Squad Classic Donte also hosted, before playing a round of "Jar Of Family." Today, Don calls Dave's uncle Dave, Phantom's wife Jennifer, Slow Joe's brother Dave, Little Joe's cousin Greg, and Craig's brother Chris.

It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom's stories include a Connecticut man who won $254 million in Powerball, the NFL flex schedule changes, and this past Black Friday being the biggest ever. Don also interviews Sacramento King Jason Thompson, who tells us how much he's looking forward to the season now that the lockout has been lifted. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
