Occupy Sacramento Tree-Sitter Arrested After Leaving Perch

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The Occupy Sacramento protester who had been camping out in a tree has come down from his perch.

The man known as "Joe" decided to come down from the tree in Cesar Chavez Park early this morning due to what he says was for health reasons.

"Joe" had been up in the tree since late Wednesday night and refused to come down when officers kicked protesters out of the park after curfew.

While "Joe" was up the tree, police arrested 23 of his fellow Occupy Sacramento protesters.

This morning after being check out by paramedics, "Joe" was also taken away in handcuffs on charges of trespassing and resisting arrest.
