Two-Story Home In Sacramento Goes Up In Flames

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Crews have contained a fire that burned overnight at a home in North Sacramento.

The fire broke out at the two-story home on Beaumont Street at Eleanor Avenue early Friday. A neighbor made the call in to 9-1-1 when the first floor of the home caught fire.

Firefighters went inside to see if anyone was inside, but didn't find anyone. One neighbor said she was scared her friends were inside.

"For my friend Laina, Boo-Boo and Tank that they might be inside that they might be home when it happened. It was a pretty big fire, so I was pretty worried about them," said a neighbor.

Investigators say the home was vacant and may have recently been used by squatters. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
