Happy Homecoming For Soldier Injured In Afghanistan

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Friday the 13th didn't feel unlucky for one local family, who welcomed home a soldier who was injured serving in Afghanistan.

Private 1st Class Josh Sculley was injured twice by IED explosions during service in Afghanistan. On Friday, his parents and his fiancee met him for a happy homecoming at Sacramento International Airport.

"It's great to finally be back," Sculley said. "It's been 10 months since I've been home so it's good to finally be back."

His mother was overjoyed to see him come home safe.

"It feels incredible," Patty Sculley said. "I'm so glad he's home and safe."
