Fresno Elementary Teacher Accused Of Molesting, Filming Student

FRESNO (AP) — A Clovis teacher accused of molesting a student and recording the abuse on his mobile phone is being held without bail on federal charges in the case.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Dennis Beck ordered 43-year-old Neng Yang, a second-grade teacher in Clovis, held during a brief hearing on Thursday. The judge said Yang was a danger to the community and a flight risk.

Police arrested Yang last week, after the alleged victim's mother asked the second-grader why she wasn't in her physical education class at her school. The girl said she was in Yang's classroom playing "the lollipop game."

Yang denied any abuse to investigators. But police say they found nine videos on his mobile phone that showed the child performing oral sex on him while blindfolded.

He is also facing state charges in the case. He has pleaded not guilty.
