The Grant Napear Show - March 22, 2012

The Grant Napear Show was live from Power Balance Pavilion tonight, as the Sacramento Kings get set to take on the Utah Jazz. The Kings have been playing better team basketball as of late, and that is why they are currently on a 3 game winning streak and looking to push it to 4 tonight. Callers were excited to talk about the Kings, and what has changed recently that has this team playing great basketball.

First on the show, Ann Killion with Si.com joins to talk a little NFL as teams continue to sign new players. When asked about the NFL pro days, Ann said; "I think that it is for 32 teams to send people to beautiful places." Another hot topic in the NFL is Tim Tebow and his recent move to the NY Jets. "I find it hard to believe they sent a guy to the biggest circus city." She went on to say, "The Jets were already a circus and they seem to embrace it. I think that Sanchez will pout, and Holmes will not react well."

Next on the show was hall of famer and former Los Angels Laker, James Worthy. He joins to talk March madness, as well as a little NBA basketball. First sharing his thought on long time Laker, Derek Fisher. Worthy said, "He is a great role model. He is a true Laker. The last couple of years he has started to slow down and has not been able to guard the quicker, faster guards." Switching gears and talking NCAA basketball, as the tournament is in full swing. Worthy said, "Still the most exciting time of the year. Its better then the Superbowl." He went on to say, "It is so exciting, so unpredictable to see the upsets." When asked his thoughts on Sacramento and the news that the Kings will stay in Sacramento, Worthy said in reply. " Congratulations to Kevin Johnson. Sacramento is a great town. I played in the old Arco, and sometimes I thought in was Boston Garden."

Last on the show, Craig Bollerjack voice of the Utah Jazz. Sharing his thoughts on tonight's matchup, Bolderjack said. "The Kings are getting wins by putting points on the board. The Jazz; just the opposite, on the defensive side." He went on to say, "The Kings are a better team from the last time we played. I look at Sacramento and they are very young, but are growing up fast."
