Live Wires Down In Roadway After Truck Hits Power Pole In Rancho Cordova

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) – Live power lines are down across a major Sacramento County roadway after a big rig slammed into a power pole early Thursday morning.

The accident happened before 5:00 a.m. on Grant Line Road just south of White Rock Road in Rancho Cordova.

The truck hit a power pole. The truck came to a stop with live wires draped across it.

Grant Line Road is closed in both directions as SMUD crews along with emergency crews are working to turn off power to the lines and clear the road.

No injuries have been reported.
