SUV Hits Power Pole In Rancho Cordova, Knocking Out Power

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - Power is back on Monday after hundreds of people in Rancho Cordova were left in the dark overnight.

Early Sunday evening a driver slammed her Toyota SUV into a power pole at Sunrise Boulevard and Sunrise Gold Circle, knocking out power to the area.

The driver says she fell asleep at the wheel, veered off the road and hit the pole.

Several people in the area say their lights flickered before they completely lost power.
