Dog Injured By Explosive Finally Gets To Go Home

STOCKTON (CBS13) - A dog that survived after someone strapped an explosive to its neck is back home with its owner.

The dog known as "Rocket" to the workers at the pet hospital where he was taken after being strapped with an explosive M-80 firework last week is actually named "Dexter."

On Tuesday, Dexter's owner picked up the pooch that suffered burns and some hearing loss but is finally well enough to go home. Dexter was in the hospital for nearly a week.

The suspects have not been caught but police say they are following some leads.
