Woodland Teen Arrested For Stealing, Killing Student's FFA Pig
WOODLAND (CBS13) - A 17-year-old Woodland boy was arrested on Monday for stealing and killing a pig, according to the Yolo County Sheriff's Office.
A Woodland High School student reported on Saturday that someone had taken her pig from the Laugenour Land Lab at 39839 County Rod 17A, in Woodland. The student was raising the pig as part of the Future Farmers of America program.
Investigating deputies located a bloody hand print on the gate leading to missing pig's pen. The ground inside the pig's pen was covered in blood, the sheriff's office said.
Detectives contacted the teen on Monday and interviewed him. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Yolo County Juvenile Hall on charges including felony grand theft and felony animal cruelty. The remains of the animal have since been located.
