Granite Bay's Burris Signs With Raiders

ALAMEDA (AP) - The Oakland Raiders announced Friday that they have signed fourth-round draft pick linebacker Miles Burris, a Northern California native who grew up rooting for the Silver and Black.

Burris, a two-time All-Mountain West Conference first-team selection out of San Diego State, led the Aztecs in tackles as a senior last season with 78, including 46 solo tackles and 19.5 tackles for loss. He also had eight sacks and three fumble recoveries.

The 6-foot-2, 236-pound Burris led the conference with 9.5 sacks as a junior and also led the Aztecs with 80 tackles that season. He played high school football at Granite Bay.

Oakland has two remaining unsigned draftees, third-round guard Tony Bergstrom and fifth-round receiver Juron Criner.
