Man Convicted Of Harassing Sacramento Couple For Second Time

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A Sacramento man has been convicted of stalking his neighbors for the second time.

A jury convicted 68-year-old James O'Rourke of felony stalking and violating a restraining order, felony prior stalking convictions, and a misdemeanor charge of willful disobedience of a court order.

In 2006, O'Rourke was first convicted of stalking a young couple who lived across the street from him on 40th Street.

He was released from prison in 2009 and moved back into his home where he continued his harassment of the same family.

The District Attorney's office says O'Rourke staked out the victims' home glaring at them, verbally assaulting them, and standing on the curb near their home in an intimidating manner. He also took more than 1,200 pictures of the victims and their guests.

O'Rourke will be sentenced on June 29.
