Highway 160 Isleton Bridge Scheduled For Closure

ISLETON (CBS13) - The Iselton Bridge will be closed to traffic for 60 days starting on Monday as it undergoes maintenance work, according to Caltrans.

The bridge on State Highway 160 north of Isleton and south of Courtland. Work will begin Monday and is scheduled to be completed by Friday, Aug. 17.

The work schedule was revised to keep from conflicting with the upcoming Cajun Festival in the town of Isleton and lessen the impact to public school schedules as work will be during the summer recess, the agency said.

This work is part of an $8.4 million project to repaint three Sacramento Delta bridges. The Steamboat Slough Bridge south of Courtland was completed last fall on Nov. 15 while the Paintersville Bridge also south of Courtland was re-opened on May 4.

Detour signs are in place. Motorists travelling on Highway 160 are advised to plan ahead and factor in additional travel times. Unexpected weather may prolong or cause work to be rescheduled.
