The Grant Napear Show - June 22, 2012

Grant Napear Show, Friday Edition: With te Bay Bridge Series looming between geographic rivals Oakland and San Francisco, much of the end-of-the-week discussion revolved around these two teams that entered the weekend going in opposite directions. The A's were coming off a sweep of the Dodgers, while the Giants had lost two of three to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Brandon Moss, reigning American League Player of the Week, talks about his Oakland A's as they approach a weekend series with the rival San Francisco Giants. The A's have won eight of nine going into Friday night's action. Moss discusses his career resurgence with the A's this year after being a bit of a late bloomer and how he prepares to face each night's starting pitcher, saying that too much information is a bad thing but there's still some studying required.

Grant's Rant today was about Chris Lincecum, Tim Lincecum's dad, and his inability to keep his nose out things that aren't his business. Chris was quoted in USA Today as saying that the team was disrespecting Lincecum during his struggles this season in what has by far been the worst year of Lincecum's career.

Giants' radio play-by-play voice Dave Flemming checked in to preview the Bay Bridge Series but began by offering his thoughts on the USA Today article on Tim Lincecum's struggles. After some words of praise for the A's, Flemming delved into the experience of calling Matt Cain's perfect game.
