Chase Bank In Modesto Robbed

MODESTO (CBS13) - Police are investigating a bank robbery in north Modesto and are requesting the public's help in identifying the suspect.

On Monday at about 1 p.m., employees at Chase Bank, located at 2609 McHenry Avenue, reported the robbery. The suspect reportedly entered the bank armed with a shotgun and demanded money from the teller. Once the suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank. He was last seen running in the parking lot.

The suspect is described as a possible white male adult, about 5-foot-7 to 5-10 and about 165 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a ski mask that concealed his face.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. Tipsters can also text information to Crime Stoppers by sending a text message to 274637. Type "TIP704" along with the message.
