Stockton Police Bomb Squad Detonates Suspicious Object

STOCKTON (CBS13) – The Stockton Police Department bomb squad has detonated what they say was a suspicious object.

The object was discovered by a passerby in the 2400 block of Market Street on Tuesday evening. Police were notified and the bomb squad was brought out to investigate.

A device resembling a pipe bomb was discovered beneath a Highway 99 overpass last week. Nearby roads were closed for hours as a result.
