The Don Geronimo Show - April 12, 2013
The day begins with Don soliciting listeners to come down to the station to do the "Phantom News" today, since Slow Joe has been such a train wreck filling in. The guys then get into the Maloof's "deadline" today, and Don gives us his take on how the Maloofs have screwed up Sacramento. After hearing about DIRECTV's new channel aimed exclusively at dogs, the guys see the new "Hangover' trailer, and brand new liners that Craig and Slow Joe wrote.
We then get an in studio visit from comedian Steve Trevino. Steve, who is performing at the Punchline in Sac all weekend, tells us he's still drunk from last night, talks about being buddies with Pablo Francisco, going to a "gay" gym, and how he's handled being married for 7 years. He also brings in his buddies Jesus and Stewart, who are his opening acts.
After another Rotating Random Phone Scan, we hear that the video Craig showed us a few weeks ago, of the naked man on the car in the middle of the freeway, made it on Tosh.O this week, and then the great Guy Fieri from the Food Network stops by. Guy is promoting the opening of his new Johnny Garlic's restaurant in Sacramento, and brings in some great food for the guys, as well as his executive chef Mike. Guy also talks about his restaurant in New York, getting his Lamborghini stolen by a ninja, and how much he loves doing his show "Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives!"
It's then time for the "Phantom News." Today, filling in for Phantom, is loyal listener Paul. Paul tells us about a bounty on Bigfoot, a 42 year old guy who crapped on a Dollar General floor, and repeats Slow Joe's story about a guy who sawed his arms to the bone at a Home Depot. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
