5-Year-Old Citrus Heights Boy Fatally Crushed By Metal Gate

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) - A 5-year-old Citrus Heights boy is dead after an iron gate fell on him Tuesday night.

At around 8:30 p.m., police and fire department personnel went to the 7300 block of Cross Drive on reports of a vehicle gate falling on the child.

Officers arrived at scene of the incident and found Jason Kolyadich with serious injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated and was later pronounced dead.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Citrus Heights Police Department, but is believed to be an accident.
