Fire Damages Vacant Apartment Unit In Sacramento
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Firefighters are calling a fire at an apartment building in Sacramento suspicious.
Metro Fire units received multiple calls at around 6 a.m. of a fire at an apartment complex near Watt and Whitney Avenues. As firefighters arrived, smoke was coming out of the third floor of a building that was vacant and under construction.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to other units. Damage, which is estimated at $15,000, was isolated to carpets, walls and cabinets.
One firefighter was injured while battling the blaze.
Arson investigators determined the fire is suspicious. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the arson tip line at (916) 859-3775.
