Missing Person: Grass Valley Police Searching For 74-Year-Old Woman

GRASS VALLEY - Grass Valley police need help locating a 74-year-old woman missing at least a week.

Friends of Wilma Leona Barnhart alerted police on Wednesday they had not seen or heard from her since July 7.

Friends and family say she has no known medical or mental health conditions that may explain her disappearance. After checking Barnhart's residence, police say there was no indication of foul play.

Bank records show that Barnhart last made a withdrawal from a local Bank of America ATM on S. Church Street at around 1:20 p.m. Sunday. Earlier that day, records also show she had purchased gas from Flyers on Plaza Drive just after noon, made a purchase at Rite Aid on Sutton Way just before 11 a.m.

Surveillance cameras at Flyers captured both Barnhart, and her vehicle leaving the parking lot. The vehicle is described as a brown 1999 GMC Envoy SUV with California license plate "4DMU032."

Barnhart is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 180 lbs, with gray hair and brown eyes.
