Repair crews were able to expose the water main Tuesday night, which is about 13 feet underground, and will continue to remain onsite until all repair work is complete.
The water main was broken Monday by a Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District vehicle that was working on Arena Boulevard just east of Truxel Road.READ MORE: California Abortion Activists React To The End Of Roe V. Wade
The broken water main serves about 27,000 area homes and businesses.
Officials say they hope to have the repairs complete by Thursday.
