Stanislaus County Sheriff Offers Criminal Custody Tracking App For Victims

STANISLAUS COUNTY (CBS13) - The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department has a new app that allows crime victims to keep track of a criminal's custody status.

The Android and iPhone app VINEMobile, the mobile version of Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE), allows victims to access information about criminal cases and be notified when an offender's custody status changes.

"VINEmobile is another tool to help our victims while keeping communities safe and informed," Sheriff Adam Christianson said in a press release Thursday.

The app also has links and access to victim services, resources and emergency numbers along with public safety announcements.
