TRACY (CBS13) – A Tracy fugitive is now behind bars at a local jail after he fled to Seattle.

Lakhvinder Singh Dhanju, 29, is accused of committing lewd acts against a child under the age of 16 years old.

When Tracy police began an investigation into the allegations in April, Dhanju left the area.

He was later found and arrested by Seattle police in July.

Dhanju was transported to the San Joaquin County Jail Tuesday and was booked on 14 felony counts, including lewd acts upon a child, arranging or appearing at a meeting with a minor to engage in lewd acts, and contact with a minor for sexual offense.
