Galt High School Closes After Nearly A Dozen Students Fall Ill

GALT (CBS13) — Nearly a dozen Galt High School students experienced flu-like symptoms and were sent home from school on Friday.

The high school closed after 11 students fell ill. Four were taken to the hospital.

Police, fire, Hazmat and PG&E crews went room to room monitoring air quality.

District officials so far believe that the students all fell ill from a virus of some sort at the same time.

Investigators say they haven't found anything suspicious or toxic so far.
